The Client Goal
Optify, a digital marketing agency, wanted a visual communication piece that highlighted findings from a study they performed on the use of autoresponders in email marketing campaigns. The goal was to educate, not to promote, so the focus needed to be on the study’s findings and autoresponder best practices, not on Optify’s products and services.
We created an assembly line metaphor to show the autoresponder process — from the moment a customer fills out an online form, through the delivery of a personalized email, all the way to follow-up emails delivered the following week. The design is high-tech but playful, to simultaneously appeal to digital marketing professionals and keep the subject entertaining for newcomers. The color palette was chosen to push the Optify brand forward while still sticking to the pre-approved illustration style. This infographic performed well on social media, with shares on Mashable and Marketing Technology Blog among many others.
