
The Client Goal
LexisNexis provides legal and risk management solutions for law firms, corporations, and governments. They had conducted a survey about mobile usage among legal services industry professionals in Australia and New Zealand, and as the first company to publicize insights about mobile usage among legal professionals in that region, they wanted to showcase the results in a useful way. It was also important to them that the end result be vibrant — something that could generate both internal and industry-wide discussion.
The Solution
Since this infographic design would be used exclusively for web, we employed a standard 1000-pixel-wide format; this allowed for flexibility in the length of the design in order to incorporate the most poignant statistics. Varied forms of data visualization helped convey what could have been repetitive percentages and statistics in uniquely appropriate visuals. The content selected provided some hard facts on mobile device usage, but also included more subjective sentiments that were primed for debate. In this way, the infographic could appeal to LexisNexis employees and lawyers both in the surveyed region and worldwide.
