The Client Goal

In 2012, Oerlikon Textiles merged their Swedish and German entities to offer customers a more diverse array of services through 7 robust textile machines. As part of a plan to announce this shift to clients, they approached our team to create multimedia visual communications for their 900-square-foot display booth at a global textile conference.

The Solution

Large Format Infographics

To attract current and potential clients to the Oerlikon booth, we developed 7 infographic posters that could be seen across the room. Each poster highlighted a different textile machine, detailing its capabilities and notable statistics. Because these infographics were developed for a very technical audience, we chose an illustration style that would depict them in a clean, realistic way. In addition, to engage eligible customers, the copy was written with the audience in mind, using industry terminology rather than oversimplifying.

Animated Motion Graphics

To aid the sales process, we created motion graphics from the static visual communications and included a confident voiceover to unveil each machine. Beyond displaying these videos in loop at the booth, a QR code was added to link the printed infographics to their respective animations.
