The Client Goal
Epson is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of imaging-related equipment. As a leader in projector technology, Epson needed to produce content that would quickly educate consumers on the benefits of the 3LCD color technology their projectors use compared to the single-chip technology of many other projectors, visually explaining the key technical distinctions in a succinct and easy-to-digest format. It was important that the pieces came off as educational and set Epson apart as an industry leader due to their knowledge of the technology — not a hard sales pitch. They also wanted a multimedia approach that could explain their message in a few different ways.
The Solution
To educate customers on the difference between these two technologies, we needed to cleanly visualize each projector type and then explain the complicated light physics involved as it happens. A motion graphic allowed us to show these processes unfold, clearly showing why the 3LCD system is superior to the one-chip alternative. The static work creates a point of reference for viewers to take in the details at their own pace. Colorful, bright, and engaging artwork appeals to the consumer audience.
