The Client Goal
Swiss Re is a global reinsurance company based in Zurich. Insurance companies were facing a key challenge — how to sell life insurance to a new middle-income market, given the historically high-income stigma of the product. Swiss Re needed to show how reinsurance allows for the flexibility and security to provide life insurance in these markets, especially among smaller insurance providers. They wanted an emotive narrative video that would live on their website and social channels, but also be functional for use at conferences.
The Solution
While we often write scripts for our clients, Swiss Re came to us with a draft already to work with. It was our job to make their vision a reality so our team worked closely with theirs to create something that married form and function while adhering to visual communication best practices. Scene direction and storyboarding were key to bringing this script to life in the project’s early stages, ensuring that it would still communicate a strong message even without audio in a conference setting. The video lives on Swiss Re’s YouTube page and helps bolster their messaging at events.
