The Client Goal
Broken Arrow Wear, a custom T-shirt printing and embroidery company, wanted an infographic to showcase how T-shirts have become one of history’s most popular garments. They came to us with a plan for creating a timeline to document the T-shirt’s rise in popular culture. Because Broken Arrow Wear makes T-shirts for a wide audience, the infographic needed to be appealing, entertaining, and designed to keep readers of all backgrounds engaged.
Based on the client’s needs, we decided to produce a long-scrolling infographic for web. We chose a clean and fun aesthetic that was consistent with Broken Arrow Wear’s brand. As we conducted our research, we determined which points in T-shirt history would resonate best with Broken Arrow’s audience, ensuring the visuals and text worked together to support one another and aid in comprehension. Because Broken Arrow Wear wanted to adhere to simplicity, we chose a spacious layout, simple geometric shapes, straight lines, and character illustrations to hold the viewer’s attention, as well as a warm color palette. The piece lives on Broken Arrow Wear’s blog and was shared on social media to broaden their brand reach.
