The Client Goal
CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) offers professional business resources to members all across the state of California. They wanted to use visual communication to help establish thought leadership, sharing both internal and external industry insights with their members. With this goal in mind, they needed a partner that could produce large volumes of custom visual content each year, allowing them to provide relevant data to their members on a consistent basis without the feel of a template or redundancy.
The Solution
These designs for C.A.R. could be described as “mini infographics” since they each only contain a few short data points. Recognizing that industry data can be difficult to sift through in multiple reports and whitepapers, from the beginning C.A.R. has often opted to use just a few data sets for each narrative. Keeping in mind this goal of combating the standard of text-based industry reports, each design employs a central illustration related to the theme, with clear data visualization always close by. This approach was chosen to draw the audience’s attention so they can digest the information quickly and move on to the next new insight. Over the past few years we have created hundreds of infographic designs for C.A.R.’s website and print publications, including a magazine cover and multiple magazine spreads as well.
