Nikon has a long history of making advanced lenses, and for their 80-year anniversary they sought to produce an engaging and attractive PR piece to review just how far they have come. They wanted an infographic design that would showcase their success and appeal to their avid fan base.
The Solution
With a devoted, tech-savvy audience, Nikon requires detailed media that can withstand the scrutiny of their educated consumer base. Knowing that long-time Nikon fans would know every detail of their lenses, we used a highly technical illustration style that would resonate well with their audience and stay true to the form of the products.
To better hold viewers’ attention, the scrolling graphic features a concise timeline of important highlights in Nikon’s history rather than convoluting the subject with less interesting milestones. Yellow highlights throughout help maintain brand recognition. The resulting infographic shows off Nikon’s successful history in an effective and distinctive way.
