Meet Ian! Content editor by day, vintage video game collecting, beer drinking, mountain hiking writer by night, he’s an integral part of the Killer Infographics team.

Name: Ian Denning
Title: Senior Content Editor
State your job description: I research and write infographics. I also work with clients to make sure their infographic content meets their needs.

How did you come to work at Killer Infographics?
I was working in a job that had nothing to do with writing, and I wanted to use my degree. I read the job posting for Killer and knew it would be a great culture fit, so I applied, and here I am.

What do you enjoy most about working at Killer?
The people. My coworkers are nerdy, smart, hilarious, and basically awesome in every way.

What has been your favorite project and why? (Does not have to be a project you worked on).
I just finished working on the content for a poster about succulents, and researching all the different species of succulents and cacti was really interesting. They have great names. Lizard’s Tail. Mother-in-Law’s Tongue. Tanzanian Zipper Plant.

Apart from your work at Killer Infographics, what are some side projects or hobbies you have outside of the office?
I write fiction in my free time. A lot my stories have been published in literary journals, and I edit for a journal and an indie press, too.

Favorite Lifehack?
There’s this program called Freedom that completely turns off internet access for as long as you tell it to. I use it when I write at home, because if I don’t, I wind up just screwing around on Facebook and Twitter for hours.
