There’s no better place to celebrate the innovative spirit at the heart of the Emerald City than the Seattle Interactive Conference. Every October, SIC brings together entrepreneurs, creative types, and industry thought leaders to talk about creativity, commerce, and technology. And in 2018, for the 6th year in a row, Killer Infographics CEO Amy Balliett will talk visual communication and marketing strategy on one of the big stages at the Conference Center in the Washington State Convention Center.
Marketing for a Visual World
“I’m honored to return to this incredible event. It’s always been such a thought-provoking and dynamic space,” said Balliett, who will speak at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 18 on Level 3, in the room Tahoma 5.
Balliett’s presentation is titled “The New Age of Content: Communication Strategies for a Visual World.” The talk will be especially targeted at marketers, whose classic adage, “Content is king,” is undergoing fundamental changes as consumers increasingly prioritize video, interactivity, and other visual content. Visual content is now king, and Balliett will explain how to develop a visual strategy designed to harness the latest technology and visual mediums to hook today’s audiences.
A Space for Innovation
The SIC agenda promises a wealth of memorable options this year, including talks from Alex Chung, founder of GIPHY; Gina Phillips, general manager of WeWork, and Erik Harte, creative strategist for Snapchat. We’ll hear talks on social media, e-commerce, storytelling, and interactive advertising — more than 150 speakers and 125 sessions in all.
We’re especially excited for talks like “Why Do We Suck at Measurement?” by Dheyvi Velagapudi, VP of design at Substantial. Velagapudi will talk about better ways to measure engagement, which is essential for any visual campaign.
The Seattle Interactive Conference will be held Oct. 17–18 at the Conference Center in downtown Seattle. We hope to see you there!
