Senior Graphic Designer
State your job description:
My role at Killer varies on a daily basis with tasks ranging from interactive web design to brainstorming concepts to animating a 90’s cellphone dressed as Michael Jackson. My job is to formulate design solutions for clients based on their unique needs. Every business needs to communicate — I help them do it visually.
How did you come to work at Killer Infographics?
Killer found my work on Dribbble and contacted me for the position. I was already familiar with the company before they approached me.
What do you enjoy most about working at Killer?
We have an amazing CEO who allow us to be the blossoming creative unicorns we always dreamt of being. Besides that, we have an amazing work-life balance (4 day work weeks) and co-workers that I consider friends.
What has been your favorite project and why?
Actually, I recently had the opportunity of designing characters and scenes for a motion project that’s been exceptionally fun. The project was for Rumble Monkey, and I was excited about it because the company is really cool and it was in a style I had been wanting to try for a while.
Apart from your work at Killer Infographics, what are some side projects or hobbies you have outside of the office?
Outside of work I love backpacking around the PNW, snowboarding, biking, traveling, playing music and hanging with friends (beer in hand).
Any special accomplishments/awards?
I started and ran an art/music/design showcase for two years in Spokane Washington. We received coverage from local new outlets and had involvement from EWU and other Spokane organizations. The proceeds were donated to a local youth arts program.
Favorite place you’ve traveled
This question is really hard but I’m going to have to say Zanzibar, Tanzania. It’s the best combination of people, food, scenery, climate and culture.
