Name: Josh Miles
Title: Creative Director
State your job description:
I work with the executive and creative teams to define Killer’s creative and strategic vision for the future. I also meet with clients and project teams to help identify creative solutions and build lasting partnerships.
How did you come to work at Killer Infographics?
I have a background in film and writing, and initially joined Killer as a copywriter/researcher. When Killer first began offering motion graphic services in 2012, I worked with Graham Cox, our Technical Director, to develop that offering and grow it into a mainstay of our services.
What do you enjoy most about working at Killer?
Echoing so many before me, the best part of working at Killer is the people – both colleagues and clients. I get to work with creative and strategic experts every single day, and am constantly humbled by the insight and ability people bring to our projects.
What has been your favorite project and why?
We’re always focused on producing top notch work for our clients, so it’s not often we get to produce work about ourselves. For this reason, our “About Us” video is one of my favorite projects I’ve worked on. It was a very fun project to work on, as I got to jump around a number of roles during production, from directing the filming, to producing the voiceover, and establishing the art direction.
Apart from your work at Killer Infographics, what are some side projects or hobbies you have outside of the office?
I occasionally help out on set with my friends over at shepfilms.com. For their most recent short film, “Prospect”, they needed a large lumbering oaf to fill a space suit and shoot a revolver, and I was more than happy to oblige. The film premiered at SXSW and has received quite a bit of recognition online.
I’m a big fan of the outdoors too. Every weekend you’ll find me either fishing, crabbing, camping, hiking, sailing, climbing, or some combination of those.
